Rep. Grayson's "Town Hall" 8/17
The videos to the left are a small representation of what took place Monday, August 17th in Orlando. With a 24 hour notice, well over a thousand citizens converged on the Union Hall where Grayson had a scheduled meeting with union workers prior to the 7:45pm town hall. It was quickly apparent we were not going to get in, so we went back to the car for the bull horn and enjoyed our right to free speech. It was a great testament to America that we could protest and only one arrest, an ACORN worker. At least we think he was. He was hanging out with those identified with ACORN. As the sun began to set, we marched our group to the back door and began chanting "Read the Bill!" we also chanted "Tort Reform Now!" I was very saddened that so many who are for HR 3200 didn't even know what tort reform was. We were glad to have the opportunity to give some "tort tutorials." I hope you will consider joining us at the next event!
