TEA Party Network
Septic Tank Issue
Have you been following the Septic Tank issue in
Tallahassee? I don't think anyone has followed, studied
and testified as much as our Network's Region One
Coordinator, Sharon Glass! She is a wealth of information
and knows exactly who to contact and when to make that
contact in order to protect taxpayers and see the septic
tank portion of SB550 repealed.
In an effort to work smarter, not harder and at the same time build leaders in every tea party and 912 group. please read the below outline and respond as soon as possible as Sharon will need these delegate contacts next week.
In an effort to work smarter, not harder and at the same time build leaders in every tea party and 912 group. please read the below outline and respond as soon as possible as Sharon will need these delegate contacts next week.
- Invite someone from your group to be your organization's delegate on this issue
- Send their name and email address to Sharon
at southernkitty@bellsouth.net
She will keep your delegate informed and made aware of
which legislators need to be contacted and the message
to be relayed to them.
- Then, on behalf of your group, your delegate
will send those legislators an email. For example,
they may write, "On behalf of the North Lake Tea
Party, representing 543 members, we would like you to
repeal the septic tank bill. Please send me your
intended vote on this bill, I look forward to
informing our membership of your vote." Instead of
asking our entire group to send emails, and maybe get
10 from each group to actually do it, we will have one
email with our total membership listed. This will
also be a great way to engage another member from your
group, training up new leaders.
