Yesterday, Dave and I singed this cover letter, mailed with your 952 signatures. We thought it important for you to know every word that was mailed, so here it is. We hope it meets with your approval!

Yesterday, The North Lake TEA Party met in Ferran Park in downtown Eustis Florida.  North Lake County is made up of several smaller communities including: Eustis, Tavares, Altoona, Umatilla, Mt. Dora, Howie in the Hills, Leesburg, Astor, Fruitland Park, Grand Island, Lady Lake, Lisbon, Mt. Plymouth, Paisley, Sorrento, and the Villages.  On the attached copies of the petition we distributed, you will find approximately 952 signatures.  We estimate our attendance at nearly 1,000.

The organizers believe you should find it remarkable that 1,000 people from sleepy Central Florida came together on a Wednesday afternoon to let you know we don’t want deficit spending that will impact the financial futures of our children and grandchildren.  The effect of interest on deficit spending alone will bankrupt America.  Let’s take the bitter pill now and learn to live within our means.

We want America back: STRONG, SOVEREIGN and UNASHAMED, not beholden to foreign countries who are buying our debt.

So good to see so many people who want a full accounting of our government! The time for wasteful spending should have been over a long time ago but nobody in gov't seems to get the message. A few examples such as Segways for the Lake County police (are you kidding me), $50,000.00 2008,4WD, Crew cab, diesel truck with Leather seats for the Eustis fire Dept (how come the fire trucks are not 4WD?) try a Ford Taurus, driving publicly owned vehs back and forth to work (that was not official use the last time I checked). Let's call it what it really is, FRAUD!
How about we adopt the Military standard on these and other issues "The mere appearance of impropriety constitutes impropriety"
Remember that the ONLY thing a politician can "GIVE" you is something that they have "TAKEN" from you!
